The National Basketball Association (NBA) has named the finalists for the MVP award for the 2024/25 season.
The candidates include Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder).
Jokic has been playing in the NBA since 2015. Nikola has played his entire career in the North American league for Denver. The Serb has become the most valuable player of the National Basketball Association three times. In 2023, the center became the NBA champion. This title remains the only one in his career.
Antetokounmpo was selected 15th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He has played in seven All-Star Games. In early April, Antetokounmpo recorded a historic triple-double, making league history.
Gilgeous-Alexander played for the University of Kentucky Wildcats at the college level. He was selected in the first round of the 2018 NBA draft (11th overall) by the Charlotte Hornets and traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. In 2019, he became a player for Oklahoma.
